The Unity of Worldwide Artists
Jang Heung Art Park provides a space for artists to create and expose their work. A world-wide residency program is available for artists to freely create their art. It is operated with wide acceptance and support for emerging artists in the country. Gana Art Center, which has become an internationally active multi-cultural institution, provides additional support and the know-how to help make the residency program succeed in innovative and unforseen ways.
Enterprise and Culture in One Network Plan
Jang Heung Art Park works together with various enterprises to form the Atelier where the main aim is to establish a center in which culture can be created in innovative ways. In an era where culture and art become increasingly merged with the industry and our global economy, it is vital for us to find new ways of combining culture and enterprise, working to shape a more influential and synergic role of art in the twenty-first century.
ㆍThe Gallery
The gallery is of charming design, with uneven ceilings and comprised of two separate floors, 450 sq. ft. in area and six exhibition halls. In the exhibition halls are a wide range of masterpieces of various genres by artists from different eras. Andy Warhol, Baek Nam Jun - artworks both domestic and international are always on view in the beautiful gallery space. It allows for a close relationship to form between the artist, the viewer, and the space in which everything comes together.
ㆍAtelier
"Jangheung Art Park, the Culture Jar," is a concept that allows the artists to utilize not only the space, but to create a connection between the space and the work itself, thus allowing for a more fluent and cohesive presentation of the artwork. The artists enjoy wide support in the program, in which culture becomes a focal point for new innovations to be introduced.
ㆍOutdoor Venue
The outdoor venue, which is central to the entire structure, can also be said to be the face of Jangheung Art Park. With a focus on the stage, the venue's structure is built with screens and fountains to allow for diverse ways for visitors to immerse themselves in culture. This five-hundred sp. Ft. venue allows for an audience of five-hundred people and for many large scale performances.
ㆍChildren's Gallery
The Children's Gallery, three hundred sq. ft. space is ideal for exhibits as well as art education. It is composed of an exhibit hall, a studio and a garden. The exhibits are also adjusted to children's heights, aloowing an optimal experience for children. Fun exhibits as well as a wide variety of programs are available for children. Many mentors and guides are also available to provide children with the most enjoyable experience possible at Jangheung Art Park. The entire space was specifically designed in color and pattern to attract children - they are sure to take delight in every aspect of the gallery.
ㆍSculpture Park
Within the area of three thousand sq. ft., "art - nature - humanity" come together to allow a full experience and lend purpose to the sculptures and their symbiosis within this space and structure. From Burdell, Armond, George Segal, past and present sculptors are represented in their wide range and scope. Recent Korean sculptors such as Kang Dae Chul, Moon Shin, Chun Gook Kwang, and Han Jin Sub's works are also exhibited. For those who seek tradition and folk art, a sculpture by Moon Kwan Suk, who is well known for addressing our history is also amongst this exemplary group.
ㆍCafe and Gift Shops
A broad array of discerning guests will be sure to enjoy the always-trendy Cafe and gift shops. These places serve as rest areas in which they can freely enjoy the park. Jang Heung Art Park provides a space for various functions, from a casual family outing to an enjoyable business meeting.
